 Job Title: Dance Instructor

Job Overview: The Children's Dance Instructor will be responsible for teaching dance classes to children aged 18m to 18 years in a fun, safe, and engaging manner. The Instructor will create lesson plans that are age-appropriate and cater to various skill levels.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Teach a variety of dance styles, such as ballet, modern, latin, jazz, hip-hop, and contemporary, to children aged 18m to 12 years.
• Develop age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate a combination of technique, choreography, and creative expression.
• Demonstrate proper technique and form, and provide individual feedback and correction to students in a positive manner.
• Create a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages creativity, self-expression, and teamwork.
• Attend meetings and training sessions with the dance studio or program director.
• Manage classroom behavior and enforce studio policies and procedures.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress and any concerns.
• Participate in promotional events and initiatives to attract new students to the program.

Qualifications:

• Experience teaching dance to children in a group setting.
• Strong knowledge and technical ability in at least one or more dance styles.
• Passion for dance and working with children.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their potential.
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Physical Demands: The Children's Dance Instructor will need to be physically fit and able to demonstrate and perform various dance movements and exercises. This may include jumping, lifting, and other physical movements.

Working Conditions: The Children's Dance Instructor will work primarily indoors, in a studio or classroom setting. They may also attend performances, competitions, or other off-site events. The position may require some weekend or evening work depending on the program schedule.

This is a part-time position with flexible hours depending on the program's needs. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
